Inktober 4 – Hungry

I’m not crazy about the fact that some of the ink came up when I erased my pencil lines, but I still love this one.

Snuggle Attack

I decided to draw something snuggly today while I was sick!arting, so here ’tis:

*badly supressed laughter*

“Stop giggling, helpless prey isn’tย supposed to giggle!”

“Oh, sorry. Just a sec. *clears throat* Ah. Eek. Oh no. Save me.”

“Better, but you could sell it more.”

(We’re smart-asses. In case that wasn’t obvious.)

Didja miss me? – Father’s Day Card design

I’m baaaaaaack.

Did you all miss me? ๐Ÿ˜€

Just in time for Father’s Day card goodness! (This is just the front, the interior was hand-written.)

So, I’ve inherited a lot of things from my dad. Lactose intolerance (always fun), skin that all but bursts into flames when exposed to sunlight (thanks dad), and a noticeable lack of height (some of the blame goes to my mom’s side on that one, to be fair).

I’ve also inherited a fairly zen attitude about life, some heavy-duty introversion, a wickedly sarcastic sense of humor, and an ‘I’ll do this my way, fuck you if you don’t like that’ approach to many of life’s problems.

Of my two parents, I feel like my dad understands my perspective better and tends to be less judgmental and less critical. We just end up on the same wavelength a little more often.

This card is my way of commemorating someย of the things I got from my dad,ย and the fact that I also inherited some awesome into the mix ๐Ÿ˜€

(Watermarked because I’ve been hearing tell of people swiping other’s artwork lately and it makes me a little nervous.)

More goodies will be forthcoming. For now, enjoy this little tidbit ๐Ÿ˜€

(Because I should be sleeping, but I’m still running on West Coast time, which means sleep won’t be happening for at least another hour :p)

The Lord Skellegore Memorial Waterslide

ALRIGHTY. Now that I am not passing out on my keyboard, I can better explain this ๐Ÿ˜€

You all probably remember that I posted a sketch of Lord Skellegore WAAAAAAAY back in October. He is petter of puppies, squee-er on water slides, recent NPC in our Land of the Lost fantasy RPG. (Yes, he became an NPC after the sketch was posted. Because he’s awesome :D)

Skellegore was a representative from “The Empire of Light” (aka, the land of the undead). He was an ambassador that our characters interacted with and later housed in our magical giant-stone-head house. (LOOONG story there.) As we ended our last session, we were preparing to cast a shield spell over the city we operate out of, Keepers Cove, which would require our magic house to get used up as a conduit and a specific incantation to make it work. What we didn’t know was that we didn’t have enough juice on our own, so Skellegore sacrificed himself to fill in the extra. His note (which we found afterwards) said he did it because he felt ready to move on to actually being dead, he really wants us to succeed in taking down the baddies of the story (two power-crazy generals who worship an evil snake who likes human sacrifices), and because he wanted to help us protect the city. We all got rather misty.

Also in the note was the request that we have a statue of him built, something fun but tasteful, to commemorate him. He thought it would be cool to have a memorial to him in a ‘living’ city because it’s never happened before. Given his love of Mexican food (and hats), puppies, and waterslides, we made it happen.

In Memorium: Lord Skellegore – petter of puppies, squee-er on water-slides, saver of Keepers Cover. (Click here for appropriate music)

To better read the inscription on his statue’s plaque, here’s a close-up:

Yes, he does wear floaties. At all times. Because they are awesome. And he is petter of puppies.

The building in the background is intended to be the city-hall, but it’s just sort of there as window-dressing. The sky is green because of the shield spell we cast last session. And now, it’s FACEPLANT-INTO-BED time. ‘Night all.

BoyLove character! *cue sparkles*

One of our normal game crew is running a BoyLove game based on all the silly, glorious, sparkly goodness of yaoi and magical-girl anime.

This charming gentleman is my character for the game:

This is Vinchenzo (not his real name) Smith. Vinchenzo will never ever tell you what his actual name is, because it’s not artsy enough and he hates it. He’s a 17 year old art student who recently tranferred from a school in the United States, and he has a motorcycle! ๐Ÿ˜€ He even did a custom paint-job ๐Ÿ˜€

Vinchenzo is very much convinced that he knows everything there is to know about pretty much anything relating to art, and god help you if you contradict him.ย  He’s also quite certain that he’s the greatest artistic genius since… well ever.

More details may follow later, but I don’t want to give TOO much away about him just yet (the characters are only vaugely known to one another for now).

And, so you don’t think I’m being stingy, here’s a headshot of Vinchenzo, doing what he does best: Grumbling about how we’re all philistenes, and ‘correcting’ someone’s comments about one of his drawings.
