30 Day Monster Challenge: Satyr

Ah, I had fun with this one πŸ™‚ Apparently something often forgotten about satyrs in mythology is their overt sexuality and their connection to nature. They’re basically the “How you doin’ babeh” of the mythological natural world. Also, for some reason, when I pictured my satyr I kept envisioning her as a soccer champion…. no idea why. Still, it works beautifully for her πŸ˜€

Presenting: #20: The Satyr

30-day_Satyr---no-BG-dude

I played around with color schemes a bit in this one, more than I usually do. I chose brown for the satyr for her nature connection and pink for the nymphs for… well pretty obvious reasons. The tanned skin also helps my satyr look slightly South American, which coincidentally is a continent where people LOVE them some soccer (aka: Football everywhere but the USA). Yes ladies, gather round. There is plenty of satyr sexiness to go around, and she’s more than happy to share.

Canine Girl will be next. Stay tuned πŸ˜€

30 Day Monster Challenge – BONUS ROUND – Genie

Because I had a sketch started for the Succubus and didn’t use it, I decided to finish it and not let a good pose go to waste πŸ˜€

Thus, in keeping with the “sexy” bonus round theme: Here’s an off-duty Genie relaxing after a long day of baby-sitting a stupid mortal.

30-day-BONUS-ROUND---genie

I imagine her having a friend off panel who’s complaining about the moron who got ahold of her lamp this time. She’s listening patiently and being a good friend. (Also, she’s waiting for her turn to vent.) Both of them have had to explain the “Don’t touch the genie” rules about mortals not being allowed to command the genie to sleep with them or let them do other… stuff. They’re not sure if those rules are technically official, but if it let’s them get through the day unaccosted….

30 Day Monster Challenge – BONUS ROUND – Medusa

Because Mike suggested it and it amuses me, behold! Sexy male Medusa! (He works out.)

Medusa-for-Mike

I almost added glitter sparkles, but contented myself with making the snakes’ scale highlights look vaguely glittery instead. Regular 30 Day Challenge list continues tomorrow. Stay tuned πŸ˜€

(Also, yes, his eyebrows ARE tiny snakes. How observant of you to notice that :D)

BoyLove character! *cue sparkles*

One of our normal game crew is running a BoyLove game based on all the silly, glorious, sparkly goodness of yaoi and magical-girl anime.

This charming gentleman is my character for the game:

This is Vinchenzo (not his real name) Smith. Vinchenzo will never ever tell you what his actual name is, because it’s not artsy enough and he hates it. He’s a 17 year old art student who recently tranferred from a school in the United States, and he has a motorcycle! πŸ˜€ He even did a custom paint-job πŸ˜€

Vinchenzo is very much convinced that he knows everything there is to know about pretty much anything relating to art, and god help you if you contradict him.Β  He’s also quite certain that he’s the greatest artistic genius since… well ever.

More details may follow later, but I don’t want to give TOO much away about him just yet (the characters are only vaugely known to one another for now).

And, so you don’t think I’m being stingy, here’s a headshot of Vinchenzo, doing what he does best: Grumbling about how we’re all philistenes, and ‘correcting’ someone’s comments about one of his drawings.

Steampunk Fan Service! :D

So, as my facebook followers probably noticed, I recently commented on a steampunk image linked by a group I follow. I won’t link it here, but I bet you can find a dozen similar images in about 30 seconds on google. Β The image boils down to “Scantilly clad, extremely busty woman in ‘saloon girl’ costume, ‘seductively’ caressing a large gun, with her back arched into anatomically impossible shapes and her legs crossed in anatomically impossible ways”. We’ve ALL seen them.

My comments went as follows: “I love Steampunk as much as the next person… but has anyone informed the artist that it is DAMNED uncomfortable to sit like that under the best of circumstances? Multiplied by a factor of ‘corset’ that would be excruciating. Especially with her legs crossed hard enough to break bones….”
I discussed the image at some length with a friend and we decided it’s really only fair to turn the tables and put a man in her pose. Now, he’s not identical the original (that’d be way too easy) but the feel, sexual-objectification, and pointlessly uncomfortable pose has carried over πŸ˜€

(Also there’s a few versions of the image because I was having fun experimenting with it.)

Here’s the basic version. Note the pointlessly skimpy outfit, the needlessly sexualized pose, and his awesome steampunk cyborg-oyster.

Some minor shading that wasn’t quite dimensional enough.

This is the “painted” version. I wasn’t 100% happy with some of the contrast and detailing, but I think it came out nicely none-the-less πŸ™‚

Please comment and discuss, I’m interested to see what other people’s take on this will be.

Character Design Roundup: Chang-ying Wei – PG-13

Yes, that’s right, we’re doing another one πŸ˜€ This time the game is a Firefly game run on BESM (Big Eye Small Mouth) .

What’s that I hear some of you saying? You’ve never heard of Firefly?! Click. Here. NOW.
The setting is similar to the TV show, except that none of the main characters are present, and our ship is different from the Serenity. As we were throwing around some character concepts while discussing the game, one of the other players mentioned doing a male Companion. Since it’s not something you see in the show, and you rarely see references to gentlemen “escorts” that aren’t satirical in general, it was a pretty cool idea. He ultimately went with a former spaceship racing pilot, but I decided to tweak the idea a little further (I don’t like playing male characters) and make it an androgynous Companion. (I technically had to choose a gender, so she’s female, but you would never know unless she chose to show you.)

Chang-ying Wei has always been androgynous. She just never settled into the roleΒ  of male or female, and since most other people couldn’t figure it out either, they more or less just let it go.Β  She made her living for a long time as a celebrated Companion, playing to whatever her client wanted her to be. The mystery of her true gender was also a huge selling point, and “guess the gender” became a popular party game, since Chang-ying was always at the best parties anyway. Between her lavish, extremely thorough costumes, and her ability be anyone, of any gender, that she chose, she also made a small fortune in client fees.

An expert with prosthetics (always fun in bed), an ace actress, and a champion seductress, she’s very, VERY good at her job, and things were going well for her. That is… until she visited a client near the front-lines of the war that was slowly straggling to a close. The atrocities she saw there scarred her for life. As soon as she returned from the visit, she vanished from the public eye, stopped receiving clients, and soon afterwards, left her House for good. Now she’s seen only rarely, by the occasional lucky client, but otherwise keeps to herself. … At least, that’s how the story goes.
In reality, Chang-ying has signed on with a salvage crew, functioning as diplomat, assasin, Companion, whatever is needed. As dangerous as she is sexy, Chang-ying is always looking for a way to take a swipe at the Alliance, especially if it offers the chance to take them down for good.

Here she is modeling some of her work clothes.

And here she is at work. This client would’ve been paying extra for the time it took to apply all that glitter, but since she’s there to assassinate them anyway….

More work pics. I did say she works as both a woman, and a man, did I not? (Her specialty is seducing men, but she swings either way, really.)

And, because, sexiness or not, she’s still human, here she is enjoying a nice cup of tea after a busy day of kicking ass, taking names, and washing off all that stupid glitter.

More on the character as I use her in game, and develop her more πŸ˜€
